Homeroom Update January 14th, 2019

If you know Ms. Cassie, you know she doesn’t like to ask for help or donations….but this is Ms. Erin! And Cassie doesn’t know how to update the website! *evil laugh*

I have made a wish list of supplies for people who have been asking what they can donate: http://a.co/hQYPuEQ

…and for anyone who wanted to share our GoFundMe link or donate, the link is: https://www.gofundme.com/flood-relief-homeroom-hourly-daycare

We are so grateful for all the families and friends who have supported us over the past month, we’re just so glad to be open again!

Homeroom Update December 28th

We’ll have most of the painting done by the end of the day Friday, depending on how many helpers we have. Feel free to come by if you like to paint!

The main floor will get refinished on Saturday. Then we’ll start moving furniture and toys back in on Sunday. Stay tuned for an official open date… almost there!

Homeroom Update December 21, 2018

Things are coming along nicely and thankfully going quicker than we originally thought. Almost everything is dry now, just one wall that faces the exterior of the building, and one of the children’s bathrooms still have the fans and dehumidifiers running 24/7. We have replaced the broken ceiling tiles, repaired most of the drywall, and are choosing paint colors. The floors are getting professionally cleaned and sealed tomorrow. Most of the furniture was not damaged in the flood and is currently in a storage facility. We will be adding some new toys and “active play” equipment before we re-open, and Cassie and Erin have an amazing mural planned for the wall. Here are some photos of the progress so far:

Homeroom Update December 13, 2018

As some of you may already know, our center was damaged by flooding from heavy rain on 12/6/18 and has been closed since then. Everyone was fine (kids, teachers, and pets!), but unfortunately it’s going to take weeks to repair the damage and open the center again. We will post updates here and on our Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/homeroomhourlychildcare/). We want to thank everyone who has contacted us and showed your love and support! Feel free to call, text, or email us with any questions: 760-936-6722 / cassie@homeroomcare.com
